SuperPals ("we", "our", "us") operates the SuperPals mobile application ("App"). This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your rights regarding your data.
Account Information
When you create an account, we collect your phone number through Firebase Authentication. This is used to identify your account and save your progress.
Voice & Speech Data
SuperPals allows you to talk to your pet using your device's microphone. Speech is converted to text using the built-in speech recognition provided by Apple (iOS) or Google (Android). Speech processing may occur on your device or on Apple's/Google's servers, depending on your device and OS settings. We do not record or store your audio. The resulting text transcription is sent to our AI service to generate your pet's response (see "AI-Powered Conversations" below).
AI-Powered Conversations
Your pet's responses are generated using Google's AI services (Gemini). When you send a message to your pet — whether typed or spoken — the message text, your pet's name, and recent conversation context are sent to Google AI to generate a response. No audio, phone number, or account credentials are sent to the AI service. Google's AI services process this data in accordance with Google's AI Terms.
Location Data
With your explicit permission, we may collect approximate location data to enable features like finding nearby pets for playdates. Location data is only accessed when you grant permission and is not shared with third parties for their own purposes.
Usage Analytics
We use Firebase Analytics to collect anonymous usage data such as screen views and interaction patterns. This helps us understand how the App is used and improve the experience. We do not collect advertising identifiers (IDFA/GAID).
Crash Reports & Diagnostics
We use Firebase Crashlytics to collect crash reports and performance data. This may include device model, OS version, and app state at the time of a crash. This helps us identify and fix bugs.
Push Notifications
If you opt in to push notifications, we collect a device token (a unique identifier for delivering notifications to your device). This token is stored in Firebase Cloud Messaging and is not used for advertising or tracking.
Game Data
Your pet's state, conversations, inventory, and in-app activity are stored in Firebase Firestore to provide the game experience and sync across your devices.

Where processing is based on consent, you may withdraw your consent at any time through your device settings or by contacting us. Withdrawal does not affect the lawfulness of processing performed before withdrawal.
We use the following third-party services to operate the App:
Your data is processed and stored on servers operated by Google (Firebase) in the United States. If you are located outside the United States, your data will be transferred to the US for processing. Google maintains appropriate safeguards for international transfers, including Standard Contractual Clauses where required.
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to third parties. We do not share your data for cross-context behavioral advertising. Data is shared with the third-party service providers listed above solely to operate the App.
SuperPals does not display advertisements. We do not collect or share advertising identifiers.
We retain your account and game data for as long as your account is active. Analytics data is retained for up to 14 months. Crash data is retained for up to 90 days. When you delete your account, we delete your personal data within 30 days, except where retention is required by law.
You can delete your account and all associated data directly from within the App. If you are unable to access the App, you may also request deletion by contacting us at hello@superpals.app. We will process email deletion requests within 30 days.

SuperPals requires users to be 13 years of age or older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has created an account, please contact us and we will delete the account and associated data.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes by posting the new policy in the App or on this page with an updated date.
